“My mission is to defeat the stigma around Mental Health in every session and uphold that all clients are able to achieve the growth they are looking for. I see my role primarily as a facilitator rather than instructor.”

Dominique has worked in various clinical clubhouse and community settings since 2017 and began seeing clients in a psychotherapeutic setting since 2019. These clients have presented with neurocognitive, developmental, emotional, mood, personality, and adjustment disorders bringing a wide variety of clinical issues and presenting concerns. This allowed her to diversify her approaches and clinical experience.

Before this, Dominique worked closely with children with Autism in in-home and community settings. Dominique has volunteered with a global mental health organization, allowing her to travel internationally to promote and advocate for global mental health. There she collaborated with other volunteers to work with children in orphanages, the homeless, geriatric populations, psychiatric patients, hospital staff, and others conducting occupational therapy, English lessons, and a holistic health approach.

Dominique has been involved on several research projects through the Psychology and Counseling departments at Sam Houston State University since 2016 and continues to conduct research with her colleagues.
