“My goal is to work with children to help them understand how capable and worthy they are without needing to change who they are.“
Elisabeth uses a child-centered, developmental-based approach that meets every client exactly where they are, encouraging exploration of their most significant feelings and experiences. She prioritizes her relationship with the child and fostering their feelings of safety and trust. From there, they are able to use their innate strengths to achieve growth.
Elisabeth has worked with children for over a decade, beginning as a summer camp counselor, volunteering throughout college, and becoming a fourth grade teacher for autistic children before pursuing her master’s degree in mental health counseling. Throughout her graduate training, she trained under Michelle Collins at Memorial Child and Family Therapy and later at Small Steps Nurturing Center, developing her play therapy skills throughout both experiences. She is a certified provider of DIR Floortime and enjoys working with a wide variety of clients.
