“My goal is to establish a secure and nurturing environment where children and adolescents can effectively express their emotions and learn valuable coping skills to handle their daily lives.”

My name is Angelica Reyes, M.S, LPC-A, NCC, and I am a Licensed Professional Associate and a National Certified Counselor. My unique journey includes serving as a research assistant at an inner-city middle school during my master’s degree, where I worked with students to create and achieve long-term goals. The experience I gained developed my passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
I believe in the unique potential of every child and take a holistic approach in my counseling. I am committed to using evidence-based therapy approaches to ensure the best possible outcomes for my clients.
Kids and communication can be somewhat tricky at times, which is why I often utilize Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) to help children express their emotions through play. Play serves as a child’s primary way of communication, making it my responsibility to comprehend what they are trying to convey. I also utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to teach mindfulness and promote emotional and behavioral regulation, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address negative thinking patterns and transform them into more positive and constructive thought patterns.
