“Therapy is a place where kids can learn that big feelings are okay. My hope is that through therapy, I can provide a safe, nurturing, and accepting environment that will allow children to understand and manage big emotions.”
Ashlea first learned about the impact of lived experiences when her family began fostering children. It was the impact of her adopted siblings that pushed her to pursue the counseling field. Since entering the therapy setting, Ashlea has gained experience working in a psychiatric hospital, an elementary school, and a private practice.
Ashlea believes that relationship is a fundamental principle in the counseling setting. She strives to provide a safe and nurturing environment so that children and adolescents feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings.
